Though all of our courses vary in their emphasis and location, there is a common thread of "core elements" which tie them all together.

Wilderness Travel. Our trips are designed to be challenging. You will learn how to provide yourself with shelter, cook food in the backcountry, find potable water and take care of you and your companions' well-being while utilizing various methods of travel (hiking, paddling, etc.)

Positive Impact Camping. We teach that it is important, not only to leave the wilderness as we found it, but to hopefully improve it through proper stewardship and thoughtfulness.

Teamwork. It is up to you to make your trip an incredible experience. Your guides can only provide you the opportunities. Working with a new group of people in stressful and challenging situations can be frustrating at times, but it can also be an extremely rewarding experience.

Learning. We teach one another. We learn from one another. Hopefully you will take this opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge of, not only the outdoors, but also yourself.

WEEKEND ADVENTURES

Thrilling weekend adventures in the great outdoors! Come join us for an overnight backpacking excursion through the Appalachian Mountain Range or kayak on an east coast waterway. Trips leave on the 1st and 3rd week of every month. All gear is included. Trips leave from New York City. Cost: $185.00/person.

DAY HIKES - ROCK CLIMBING - CAVING
Our day hikes are a blast! Our rock climbing and rappelling trips are intense. Our caving trips are deep. All gear is included and we supply a great lunch. Trips leave from New York City. Day Hikes cost: $45.00/person, Climbing and Caving cost: $120.00/person.

EXPEDITIONS
All expeditions are 7 days including travel time -- with the exception of the Urban Expedition! All gear, food and transportation from New York City is included.

Urban Expedition. This 3 day 2 night expedition takes place in New York City. We backpack down the city streets with all we need on our backs. The participants have no idea what is in store for them. The next few days will unfold, with clues, subway maps and a tight budget. We will hunt out clues while taking in the world famous sites that New York City has to offer. Sleeping arrangements are in their backpacks with a map to their next meal.

In the next few days, they may work in soup kitchens, sleep on a barge, be in a puppet show, kayak on the Hudson River or patrol city subways with the Guardian Angels. Every urban expedition is designed differently. Some include topics such as diversity, media, teambuilding, communication and problem solving, but are always fun, exciting and adventurous. This expedition is in New York City, in April. Cost: $400.00/person.
