groups and newly created teams. Our supervised
outdoor activities require participants to identify
and solve problems, work as a unit and as individuals.
Through tailored group activities that may include
rock climbing, backpacking, orienteering, and
project-based initiatives, we assist the individuals
and the group, provide a framework for self-analysis,
and help apply outcomes to the actual work environment.
We offer customized courses and a variety of environments.

EDUCATION THROUGH ADVENTURE CORPORATE

SAMPLE
4 DAY PROGRAM
OBJECTIVE:
To improve team efficiency and improve skills.
The exact content will be based on pre-program
assessment. Our team will assist you in improving
your group’s performance while focusing
on problem-solving, leadership styles, effective
communication, decision making, and coping with
change.
ACTIVITIES:
Day 1. Travel to base camp accommodations or wilderness
area, followed by
orientation and discussion of program goals and
objectives.
Day
2. A combination of team initiatives and/or backpacking,
rockclimbing,
or canoeing. Facilitated discussions on learnings
as they apply to the work environment.
Day 3. A full day of orienteering and/or project-based
team initiatives focused on improving ways the
group works together.
Day 4. Final team project, individual and Team
Action Plan, departure.

OBJECTIVE:
Through this program, we will assist
your group in learning to
function as a team or improving a well-working
team’s performance by
teaching skills that encourage self-evaluation
and improvement. The activities
will help you stretch and improve your problem-solving
techniques and
group communication.

Process:
Initial warm-up activities and review of characteristics
of high performance teams. Group initiatives strengthen
trust and explore the limits, benefits, and application
of trust in the workplace. Facilitated discussions
follow each exercise to insure learnings are captured.
Tailored problem-solving activities that increase
in complexity and explore issues of teamwork,
effective communication, work processes and leadership.
Discuss/document AM learnings: key individual
and team skills, obstacles that impede individual
and team success, key learnings to be carried
into PM. Check in to insure pace, approach and
objectives are aligned with expectations. A series
of progressively more complex tasks designed to
focus on team performance and assessment. Evaluate
the success and challenges of the day and lay
groundwork for individual and Team Action Plans
to apply learnings to workplace. Discuss follow-up
sessions.

CORPORATE PROGRAMS
Sailing Challenge 1 &
2 Day
OBJECTIVE:
Circumnavigating Long Island, your group
will be challenged to work efficiently as a team.
Like all our programs, the Sailing Challenge is
designed to meet your needs and is based on a
pre-program assessment. Guided by our facilitator
and sailing instructor, you will learn to improve
communication, encourage leadership within small
groups, and evaluate and solve problems in a rapidly
changing coastal environment. The skills learned
and used on the water include navigation, sail
trim, docking, and course plotting. They also
include teamwork, goal setting and planning, and
open communication.
