Corporate Chef

By providing tasks for all team members to create the ultimate dining experience, teams must work together on all aspects of fine dining to work with the materials and ingredients provided to whip up the perfect culinary and dining experience. All teams will meet for a team briefing held by Education Through Adventure, as rules and objectives will be outlined. Teams will be told of their need to design and prepare a “signature meal” and a “dining experience” that will be judged on many variables by an expert panel.

Teams must then delegate roles, to include the hunters and gatherers (those who head to the shops to get vital ingredients), the designers & decorators (those who will set the ambience for the dinner with tables settings and the appropriate mood), the cocktail waiters (those who will design and prepare a signature pre-dinner drink to accompany the meal), and of course the chefs (those who will be hands on in the kitchen with a chef). When all is complete and all tasks completed, teams will come together as one for the final touches to their experience, before the head chef will nominate the finalists and provide feedback into the meals.
Great Race

Fasten your seat belts and get ready for the race to end all races! The Great Race follows the premise of the television series “The Amazing Race” catering for groups of up to 200. With twists, turns, tears and triumphs your delegates will visit different countries around the globe (activity stations) as they compete to take out the winning prize. The Great Race is a fast paced activity that promotes team building, strategy development, communication and time management.

As the teams race between countries they must decide on the quickest method of getting from point A to point B. Using a 12 seater Mini Bus provided by the Great Race organisers, teams must locate the appropriate country and get there using this bus. With the first clue ripped open, you are on the way for the adventure of a lifetime. As well as working together to follow clues and arrive at the country activity stations, team members will also need to decide and choose the best strategy to complete each station. This can lead to some debate as one of these tasks can be completed quite quickly but involves the risk of being potentially difficult. The alternative option will take longer but completion is relatively more certain. What to do!!!!

At the end of the day it will be a mad dash to the finish line as teams use everything the have learnt, earned and been given to complete the final tasks and cross the line ahead of the pack. Are you ready, get set, GO!!!!!!!!!!
Bikes for Tykes

There will be plenty of fun, hard work and mechanical challenges in this program with a twist. With delegates having to solve challenges, work together as a team and build a dismantled bike it may all seem like a big challenge. But a smile on the face of an underprivileged child will make it all worth while.

Your team's ultimate goal is to build a bicycle that has been dismantled. Before doing this you must first successfully complete a series of tasks and challenges in order to earn the pieces of the bike and tools needed to put it together. Under time constraints you will work your way through this series of innovative tasks and challenges. Tasks can be undertaken indoors or outdoors, and will be designed to suit your objectives.

Once you have aquired all the neccessary bike pieces and the tools required you can begin your bike build as you race against the clock. With the bike fully built, each team must bring their bike to a qualified mechanic who will give the bike the "once over" and report on any defects to the judges. The team to do this first (and pass the test 100%) will be crowned champions for the day. Up until this point the delegates still think that this is just an exercise in team dynamics.

Later, a presentation ceremony will be held to announce the winning team, at this posint we introduce children from a local charity group to come receive the bikes from the delegates. What results is a frantic re-checking and adjusting of the bikes to suit the kids and to make them safe. It is this dramatic change from a fun team - building exercise into a very real scenario that gives the program its power. The change in the delegates now that the outcome is "real" is often quite staggering.
Raft Regatta

This program will take your team through a whirlwind of recreational or problem solving activities as the teams battle it out to earn the best possible equipment with which to build their rafts. How much equipment you earn will depend on your team's performance along the way. This is where effort will be rewarded with the most successfull teams getting first pick of the resources that are displayed in prearranged lots in the equipment gallery. Those that have been taking it a bit easy will be relying on the lots that are left, plus creativity to carry them through.

Our equipment gallery will contain some of the most sophisticated nautical racing material, such as wood, bamboo, pvc piping, ropes, barrels and some other unknowns. It is with this that the teams will create their Champion Rafts. After all events have been completed each team and all members of your crew must now coordinate efforts to brainstorm, create and build their raft.

The highlight of this event comes in the form of the actual race; teams present their creative vessels at the starting line where it will become apparent that team cooperation is the major strategy. Only two keen sea worthy members need get on the Raft to paddle it to victory, so not everyone needs to strip to their cozzies or fall in the water. With team-mates shouting encouragement, these skippers and navigators take on the race toward the final cannon, with some obstacles plotted by the opposition to be expected along the way.

In the event that the weather or pride may get the better of your team, the above program can be substituted to build Chariots rather than Rafts.
